Thanksgiving Place Cards — 6 Free Printable Designs

Free printable Thanksgiving place cards in six hand-painted watercolor designs — a turkey, autumn leaves, pumpkin pie, corn and wheat, acorns and a farmhouse apple gingham. They are fold-over tent cards: write each guest’s name on the front, and the back says “I’m thankful for…” with lines for them to fill in during dinner.
Each page prints four cards on US Letter or A4. Card stock gives the sturdiest cards, but ordinary paper stands up fine once folded.

How to make them
- Print at Actual size. Card stock or heavy paper works best. Each card ends up about 3½ × 2¼ inches once folded.
- Cut on the dashed outline. Scissors are fine; a paper trimmer gives cleaner edges if you are making a lot.
- Fold along the middle line. The thankful side is printed upside down on purpose, so it reads the right way up on the back of the folded card.
- Write the names. A felt-tip or brush pen looks best. Set each card on a plate or just above it.
The “I’m thankful for” game
Leave a pen at each place. Before dessert, everyone turns their card around, writes one thing they are thankful for and reads it out. Kids love guessing who wrote what. Keep the cards in an envelope and read last year’s ones next Thanksgiving.
Questions
How big are the place cards?
About 3½ inches wide and 2¼ inches tall when folded on US Letter, a touch taller on A4. That is the standard place card size.
Can I type the names before printing?
These are made to write on by hand. For printed names, open the PDF in a free PDF editor and add a text box on the line.
What paper should I use?
65–110 lb card stock (175–300 gsm) is ideal. Plain printer paper works too — fold it twice as carefully.
Can I use them for Friendsgiving?
Yes — nothing on the cards says anything more than Happy Thanksgiving, so they suit any autumn dinner.
