How small can you cut these?
We measured every design rather than guessing: each colour layer was rendered on its own and the thinnest feature in it measured, then scaled to find the size at which that feature reaches 0.5 mm — about the point where standard vinyl stops lifting cleanly off the backing.
Fifteen of the 36 designs have a white layer, and in almost every case the white is the tightest thing in the file. Skipping it — cutting only orange and black, and letting the shirt or the mug show through where the white would go — is what makes the small sizes possible.

Each design’s own number is under its thumbnail above and printed on page 2 of its PDF. These are sizes for standard adhesive and heat-transfer vinyl; with a good blade, fresh mat and a slower cut you will usually get away with a bit smaller, and cardstock or paper goes smaller still.
How to use them
- Cutting machine. Upload the SVG — not the PNG — so the colours arrive as separate layers. Cricut Design Space and Silhouette Studio will both offer to keep them grouped; keep them, then hide any layer you are not cutting.
- Set your size first. Scale the whole group before you cut, and check it against that design’s number above. Resizing a layer on its own will knock the registration out.
- Iron-on. Mirror every layer, cut on the shiny side down, and press the largest layer first — orange, then black, then white on top. The black line art is what makes the design read, so it goes over the orange, never under it.
- Print-and-cut, or just print. Print the PDF at 100% — choose Actual size, not Fit to page, and leave the orientation alone. Sticker paper gives you a decal; plain paper glued to card gives you a decoration.
- Bigger than a sheet. The SVG scales to any size with no loss. With no cutting machine, our block poster maker will tile one design across several sheets.
Questions people ask
Will the SVG open as separate layers?
Yes. Each colour is a single path, so Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio and Glowforge all read the design as two or three layers. If your software flattens it, you have most likely imported the PNG by mistake.
Do I have to cut the white parts?
No, and mostly you should not. On the fifteen designs that have white, it is teeth, eyes or a small highlight. Leave that layer out and the shirt or mug colour fills the gap — which also lets the design go about half the size.
What size should I cut for a t-shirt?
Nine to eleven inches across the chest for an adult, six to seven for a child. Every design here cuts cleanly at both sizes in orange and black. If you want the white layer cut as well, five designs — Winking, Cobweb, Grinning, Cute and Skull Pumpkin — need seven inches or more, so they suit an adult shirt rather than a child’s.
Can I print these on a normal printer?
Yes. The PDFs are built for it — one large design on page 1, smaller repeats on page 2, and no full-page background to drain the cartridge. If you only want to trace the shape, a black-and-white printer is fine.
Can I use these at school or for something I sell?
School, church, party, your own home — yes, cut and print as many as you need, no need to ask. Selling finished items you made from them is fine in small numbers; selling the files, or a bundle of the designs themselves, is not.
