How to use these templates
- Pick a design. Little ones love the snowman, reindeer and polar bear letters; older kids usually go for North Pole Mail, the plaid tree or the boho letter.
- Print at actual size. Choose Actual size or 100% in the print dialog. Plain paper works; card stock makes a letter that survives the trip up the chimney.
- Fill it in. Pre-writers can draw their wishes on the preschool page or tell a grown-up what to write. Readers can fill in every line themselves.
- Send it to the North Pole. Fold it into an envelope, leave it by the tree, or post it β see the ideas below.
Ways to send a letter to Santa
- Leave it out on Christmas Eve beside the cookies and milk β the letter even promises them.
- Post it. In the US, the USPS Operation Santa program answers letters each December; check its website for this yearβs dates and address.
- Make it a family tradition. Keep each yearβs letter in a folder and watch the handwriting β and the wish lists β grow up.
- Use it in class. The prompts make a gentle first letter-writing lesson: a greeting, three wishes and a sign-off.
