Where to use an authorized personnel only sign
- Plant rooms, electrical rooms and server rooms
- Warehouses, labs and workshops
- Construction sites and maintenance areas
- Pharmacy and medical storage
- Offices and archives with restricted access
How to print and hang it
- Pick a design and download the PDF. US Letter and A4 are both landscape. The JPG is there if you want to add it to a document or print shop order.
- Print on card stock if you can. Heavier paper stays flat on a door or window. For colour signs, use your printer’s best quality setting.
- Protect it. Slide it into a sheet protector or laminate it so it survives fingerprints, rain and cleaning.
- Hang it at eye level. Use tape on glass, a frame on a wall, or zip ties through punched holes on a fence or gate.
Questions
Which header should I choose?
Use red Danger where entering is hazardous, yellow Caution for minor hazards and blue Notice when the restriction is just policy. Orange Warning sits between Danger and Caution.
Are these OSHA-compliant?
They follow the OSHA/ANSI colour layout, but printed paper signs are informational. Use certified signs where a regulation requires them.
Can I use “restricted area” instead?
Yes — the Warning design reads “Restricted area — authorized personnel only”.
How do I make it durable?
Print on card stock, laminate, and fix it with double-sided tape or screws.
