Free Printable Polar Graph Paper (Degrees & Radians)

Free printable polar graph paper for trigonometry, pre-calculus and physics. Choose 15° or fine 5° spokes in degrees, a radians sheet labelled in π, a 180° half polar grid, or four small polar grids on one page for homework sets.
All sheets have evenly spaced circles and labelled angles, in PDF for US Letter and A4 and as SVG.
Every sheet is low-ink: thin, light lines on a white page, so a whole pad’s worth prints fast and cheaply on any home printer.
All 5 polar graph sheets in one PDF. 5 pages, one per page.

Polar graph paper · 15°
24 spokes, 10 rings, every angle labelled in degrees.

Polar graph paper · 5°
Fine 5° spokes and 12 rings for accurate plotting.

Polar graph paper · radians
Angles labelled π/12 to 2π for calculus and trig classes.

Half polar · 180°
A large semicircle with 10° spokes — also handy as a printable protractor.

4 small polar grids
Four grids per page with 30° spokes, for plotting several equations.
How to plot on polar graph paper
- Find the angle. Follow the spoke for θ, starting from 0° on the right and turning anticlockwise.
- Count out the radius. Move out along that spoke r rings from the centre and mark the point.
- Join the points. Plot every 15° (or π/12) and join them with a smooth curve to see roses, cardioids and spirals.
Questions
What is polar graph paper used for?
Plotting points and curves given as (r, θ) — angle and distance from the centre — in trigonometry, calculus, physics and navigation.
Degrees or radians?
Most high-school work uses degrees. Calculus usually uses radians, so the radians sheet labels the spokes in multiples of π.
How many rings does the grid have?
The full-page sheets have 10 or 12 evenly spaced rings, so you can scale r to suit your equation.
