Free Printable Fraction Charts & Fraction Wall

Free printable fraction charts for comparing and finding equivalent fractions. The fraction wall lines up halves to twelfths under one whole; the shorter fraction strips stop at eighths; the blank strips are for children to label and colour; and the fractions, decimals and percents chart lists the common equivalents.

There is also a page of fraction circles — halves to twelfths — to cut out. Colours are soft pastels to save ink.

Every sheet is low-ink: thin, light lines on a white page, so a whole pad’s worth prints fast and cheaply on any home printer.

How to use a fraction wall

  1. Compare. Line up two rows — 1/3 is longer than 1/4, so it is bigger.
  2. Find equivalents. Run a ruler down from the end of 1/2: it lines up with 2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 5/10 and 6/12.
  3. Add and subtract. Lay pieces end to end to see that 1/4 + 1/4 = 1/2.
Free for home, classroom and office use. Print as many copies as you need. Please link to this page rather than re-uploading the files, and do not sell them.
