Free printable cutout templates and stencils — the designs you print, tape down and cut, carve or trace. Most are clean black-and-white shapes built to be reproduced by hand or by machine; the pumpkin designs add colour layers for vinyl. Everything comes as a printable PDF alongside an SVG for Cricut and Silhouette.

The pumpkin carving stencils and porch sign templates below are seasonal; the way they are built is not. Every design is checked before it is published — that no piece falls out of the pumpkin, that no stroke is too thin to cut, and that the PDF prints at the size the sheet claims it does.

How to use a cutout template

1. Print at 100%. Turn off “Fit to page”. Every PDF here carries a ruler bar that must measure 4 inches / 10 cm — check it before you cut anything.
2. Pick the right size. The sheets state the printed dimensions, not a vague small/medium/large, so you can hold a tape measure against the pumpkin or board first.
3. Fix the paper down. Snip slits around the edge so a flat sheet can curve around a round pumpkin, then tape it firmly all the way round.
4. Transfer the outline. Poke through with a pin for carving, or rub chalk or graphite behind the paper and trace for painting.
5. Cut the smallest shapes first and work outward. Leave every offcut in place until all the cutting is done, then push them out from behind.
6. Cutting by machine instead? Use the SVG. It scales to any size and needs no tracing.
