Macaron Box Template

A slim, elegant box sized for a row of macarons — equally lovely for caramels, chocolate-dipped strawberries, or one special truffle. Both tuck ends open for easy filling, and the long low profile makes it a standout party favor or bakery sleeve.

How to assemble

  1. Cut — Cut the one-piece tuck box.
  2. Score — Score the long panel folds and the end-flap folds.
  3. Fold — Fold into a long rectangular tube and crease the tuck ends and dust flaps.
  4. Glue — Glue the side seam, tuck one end closed, fill with macarons, and tuck the other end.

Cardstock tip: Use 65–110 lb (176–300 gsm) cardstock. 65 lb folds easily for small boxes; 80–110 lb gives larger boxes and lids more structure. Always score before folding.

Decorating & Gift Ideas

The macaron box is the slim, elegant box made to cradle a neat row of macarons — but it is just as good for truffles, cake pops, a couple of cookies, or a small stack of sweets. Its narrow, low profile gives it a distinctly French-patisserie look that makes any homemade treat feel like a boutique purchase. It shines as a wedding or shower favor, a “thank you” for guests, or a bakery upsell. Keep the styling clean and chic: a pastel cardstock, a thin grosgrain ribbon around the middle, and a small foil monogram or shop label. Cut a slim window in the lid and back it with acetate so the colorful shells peek through — the macarons become the decoration.

File Formats & Compatibility

The macaron box comes as an SVG and a DXF. Use the SVG in Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Designer Edition and the DXF in the free Silhouette Studio or a Glowforge laser, which is ideal for cutting a clean window or etching a label. The box folds from a single piece with tucked ends, so score the fold lines (kept separate and set to Score) for snug, square corners that keep the macarons from sliding.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many macarons does it hold?

The two sizes on this page hold six and twelve macarons in a single row. Scale the length up or down if you need a different count.

Does it keep them from rolling?

The snug width is designed to hold macarons upright on their edge. For extra security, add a strip of parchment or a thin insert between shells.

Is it food safe?

Line it with parchment or a food-safe wrap before the macarons touch the cardstock, since plain stock is not food-grade.

Can I add a window?

Yes — cut an opening in the lid and tape clear acetate behind it so the colorful shells show through.
